The UK has long been famous for some of the best game shooting in the world. North Yorkshire is one of the UK’s foremost destinations for shoots and the best moorland the county has to offer, brimming with Grouse and Pheasant. Shooters spend £2.5 billion each year on goods and services and shooting supports the equivalent of 74,000 full time jobs. Shooting is involved in the management of two-thirds of the rural land area. KEEPING BREEDING PENS SECURE
The number of wild gamebirds cannot support the demand, so most shoots rely on birds that are reared and released. Young birds are released into open-topped pens in woodland in the summer and spend several weeks acclimatising to the habitat before the shooting season begins in October. The gamekeepers spend a huge amount of time at the rearing pens which are usually very isolated and prone to predators, sometimes of the human kind! Somewhere in the region of 40 million young birds are thought to be released each year, so ensuring their security is part of what we can do with regular patrols portable CCTV.
THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY
Sparta security guards are all SIA licensed highly experienced within the industry. They carry out regular patrols of your farm, or estate both on foot and in vehicles, and use top of the range night vision equipment. If there is an incident where we catch someone on your land we will detain them until the police arrive. Guards also wear fully body mounted CCTV which record any incident and to be used as evidence for the police.
